I was so excited to try this but it hasn’t helped my back pain whatsoever. I’ve been taking it for 2 months and I’m going to give it one more month. I am taking the 500 and have doubled the dose making it 1000 mg. So disappointed.I thought in the beginning that it was giving me a little more energy. Maybe it has. I love the company. It is so easy to order and it’s shipped right away.

We use a combination of both Subcritical and Supercritical extractions. This allows us to perform a “fractional extraction” by first extracting at lower pressures to remove the lighter, temperature-sensitive volatile oils, and then subsequently extracting the same material at a higher pressure to remove the remaining oils. This approach is the best because it allows us to extract a complete range of cannabinoids, terpenes, essential oils, and other beneficial phytochemicals that yield a more potent blend.
It’s worth noting, too, that Harvard epidemiologist Karin Michels recently called coconut oil “pure poison” and “one of the worst foods you can eat” during a lecture on nutrition — because it contains such high levels of saturated fat — which has since sparked outrage among both Americans and Indians (who live in a country where coconut oil is a dietary staple). Who’s right remains unclear, but one thing’s for sure: Cooking oils, especially those high in saturated fat (like coconut oil), should be used sparingly.
The 3000 tincture has been very helpful for me with: chronic & acute wide spread pain, headaches, anxiety, sleep, nausea, & allergies....not a complete cure, but a tremendous help with all of these, & with absolutely no side effects (& I am extremely susceptible to any side effects from meds & some supplements)....very happy to have found this product.
I have systemic lupus & breast cancer. My lupus caused an autoimmune condition of my liver as well. It made me all stop in my tracks & re-evaluate options. Along with clean eating, working out, & this cbd oil, I no longer have the fatigue or itching I had (because of inflamed liver). Going through radiation right now & I contribute this oil to keeping my side effects at bay. This stuff is pure magic! Super quality & one of the higher percentages per serving of cbd oil Ive found. Customer for life!

As more and more states legalize the use of marijuana, a product known as CBD oil has surged in popularity. A chemical compound found in the cannabis plant, CBD, or cannabidiol, is non-intoxicating and does not cause the noticeable euphoric effects associated with tetrahydrocannabinol (or THC, another marijuana compound). Products marketed as CBD oil may contain THC.
Full Spectrum CBD Oil is commonly used for assisting with pain, stress, sleep, anxiety, and more. To assist with Pain, Stress, Anxiety take as recommended once a day in the morning. To assist with sleep take as recommended in the evening. All of Zatural's Hemp products are always 0 THC. If needed, one may increase the daily recommended dosage slowly according to their needs.
The smoke point is the temperature that causes oil to start smoking, which produces toxic fumes and harmful free radicals (the stuff we’re trying to avoid). Because of their chemical makeup, different oils have different smoke points. So some oils are better suited for cooking at higher temperatures than others. A good rule of thumb is that the more refined the oil, the higher the smoke point. Vegetable, peanut and sesame oils have the highest smoke points. Note: Smoke point relates only to fresh oil; oil that is used for cooking and then strained and re-used loses its integrity.

Thank you for this very informative information about the different oils. I am curious as to why I am blocked from seeing the video ‘How its Made – Canola Oil’. I saw it some months ago on this website and was appalled at the processing that goes on to achieve what is touted as ‘healthy oil’! How ignorant we are kept of what really goes on with our so called manufactured ‘food’! Thank goodness for websites like yours Libby that inspire and help us know a better way of eating and living!

Most of us regard cooking oil as nothing more than a means to a non-sticking end. But (and this is a big, prepare-to-gag kind of but) the average American consumes a whopping 36 pounds of cooking oils per year — more than three times as much as in the early 1970s. These oils contributed more than 400 calories to our daily diet in 2010 (the Census Bureau suspiciously quit collecting data on how much fat and oil companies produce in 2011, meaning the Department of Agriculture can no longer use that data to accurately calculate how many calories cooking oil contributes to the average American diet).
Unfortunately, it has been discovered that some unsavory olive oil dealers have combined olive oil with cheap vegetable oils while still labeling the bottle as 100% olive oil, so make sure the olive oil you buy is pure (I like this brand), otherwise you may unwittingly be consuming unhealthy oils. Read this article for more info on how make sure your olive oil is real.
The human body also produces cannabinoids, known as endocannabinoids, in a bodily system known as the endocannabinoid system (or ECS). The ECS promotes homeostasis by regulating a wide range of functions, including motor skills, mood, appetite, and sleep. As we age, our ECS produces fewer endocannabinoids; they may also decrease due to physical injury or disease. Replenishing depleted endocannabinoids with phytocannabinoids like CBD can help restore balance to the body.
despite what you say on canola and soybean oil being healthy i strongly disagree with you after my research on both of them. Canola oil is not really a natural oil it is manufactured oil from rapeseed. “Canola oil is made with a highly unnatural processing method that involves high heat, deodorization and the toxic solvent hexane. Significant amounts of trans fats are formed during this process.” also “One study analyzed canola and soybean oils found on store shelves in the U.S. They found that 0.56% to 4.2% of the fatty acids in them were toxic trans fats “
Thanks for this post. I will have to try Palm and Ghee, as I haven’t used those very much! I believe I read somewhere that oils actually become rancid before they reach the smoke point, so the smoke point is actually not a safe way to know how hot you can get an oil before it becomes harmful. Do you know if the rancidity temp is the same as the smoke point?

Bonn-Miller also explained that it's imperative to exhaust the traditional and established front-line treatments that are available before seeking out these products. "CBD is not really a first-line treatment for anything," he said. "You don’t want situations where somebody says, 'I have cancer I'm going to forgo chemotherapy because I read something about CBD or THC helping with cancer.'" That's not a good idea, Bonn-Miller said. "Not only is the science not there, but you may end up worse off."

The majority of your fat intake should be from unsaturated fats, such as nuts, seeds, avocados and olive oil. So how much saturated fat per day should you aim for? Both the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and World Health Organization currently recommend limiting saturated fat intake to less than 10 percent of daily calories. (42, 43) Stick to healthy sources of saturated fat such as grass-fed beef, coconut oil and MCT oil rather than fried foods or processed meats that are laden with additives and harmful ingredients.
Each 1 gram of fat -- unsaturated or saturated -- has more than twice the number of calories than 1 gram protein or carbohydrates. Even if you choose a healthy oil, use it in moderation to avoid excessive calories. Measure exact serving sizes of oils before adding them to recipes to control the amount you use. To maintain quality in your diet, consume oils rich in unsaturated fat instead of those high in saturated fat, not in combination with them.

I like that the seller sells their own product on Amazon. I also like their responsiveness to questions. This was what led me to try HolistiHemp. I tend to go through cycles of insomnia, largely because of my job. I also have issues with anxiety and being withdrawn from life because of the anxiety. I’ve tried other hemp oils, and found one that I liked, but then Amazon discontinued carrying it. I found this one. I am well versed in essential oils and understand that the carrier oil can make a big difference. Given that the seller is also the product producer, I was happy to try out this hemp oil. I’ve been really happy with it. I’m likely to try the 2500mg oil, as well, especially in the evening, for when my insomnia really flares up. I’ve noticed a significant decrease in my anxiety since taking it. If I take it steadily throughout the day (so every 3-4 hours), my anxiety is almost non-existent, and I sleep like a dream. If I have a nutso day and only take it AM and PM, I still have the 50% decrease in anxiety. I then just have to take more to sleep. I have been more outgoing. My concentration has been better. I don’t dread the mundane tasks as much. I’m not as easily frustrated by the pricklies throughout my day. We use it with our dogs, too, and they have responded well to it, as well. I think the coconut carrier oil definitely makes a difference.

Still, vegetable oils are refined and processed, which means they not only lack flavor, but also nutrients, Howard says. “Vegetable oil is guaranteed to be highly processed. It’s called ‘vegetable’ so that the manufacturers can substitute whatever commodity oil they want—soy, corn, cottonseed, canola—without having to print a new label,” she says. “Processed oils have been pushed past their heat tolerance and have become rancid in the processing.” Some of these oils, especially palm, are associated with more degradation of land for production, Howard says.
The beauty of nuts and seeds is that you’re spoiled for choice. Walnuts are a great high-fat option with 5 grams of fat per serving, and almonds are packed with vitamin E, but there are so many nuts to choose from that you really can’t go wrong. In fact, hazelnuts, Brazil nuts and macadamia nuts all have their own delicious nutritional profiles and are rich in healthy fats like oleic acid. You can also opt for nut butters, which make a great snack when paired with apple slices or carrot sticks. Look for nut butters with just one or two ingredients and skip those with added sugars and fillers. You can also try toasting nuts and sprinkling them over salads for an instant boost of healthy fats.
