I have to say I used to have this belief that Saturated Fats were unhealthy. BUt there are tons and tons of information out there by doctors, nutritionists, etc that say Saturated Fats are essential for health. It is untrue that saturated fats contribute to heart disease. I know its hard to say but after reading and listening to the science of it all, SCIENCE is the key work, its just a big ol myth. Remember back in the 50s or so they made up a whole myth that Fat in general was bad and everyone started eating margarine and hydrogenated oils which actually caused heart disease. Crazy right? Don't believe everything you hear or read. But there is definitely enough information out there that you will make a sound decision.
And without high-quality trials, experts don’t know how much is best for a given purpose. There is very little risk of intoxication from hemp oil as all forms of hemp oil come from food-grain strains of hemp. The authors of a study in the journal Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research note that food-grain strains of hemp must contain less than 0.3 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is the compound that causes the so-called "high" of marijuana.
Ghee, butter, palm oil, and coconut oil are all saturated fats. Saturated fats cause inflammation which is why monounsaturated fats such as olive oil are good for you because they reduce inflammation. Inflammation causes stress on the body and with stress comes health problems because nothing works well under stress. And there is no direct correlation between the cholesterol you consume and the cholesterol that is absorbed by your body. The liver breaks down cholesterol you’ve consumed and rebuilds it into either HDL or LDL cholesterol depending on what and how much the body need in that moment. But this doesn’t mean that butter or other saturated fats are healthy for you (not to mention the caloric content of each) because they effect the body in more ways than just your cardiovascular system. Please don’t feed to the nutritionally under-educated. What I would love is if you had references to actual peer reviewed articles to back your “facts” rather than just trying to get a blog post done and out of the way.

Some cooking oils are made from plants that contain a higher percentage of saturated fat. These products are known as tropical oils and include coconut, palm and palm kernel oil. At 92 percent, coconut oil has the highest percentage of saturated fat. You will find these oils primarily in commercial snack foods, like cookies, cakes and chips, but you can also find them sold separately on the shelves of grocery stores. Limit your intake of foods that contain these tropical oils, and avoid using them in your everyday cooking.

The data showed that if people replace saturated fats with polyunsaturated fats, they reduce their risk of heart disease somewhat more than if they replace saturated fats with monounsaturated fats.
